Keep Kids Warm, The Marshfield Area Community Foundation event, continues to grow! The event takes place Thursday, October 20th at the Oak Ave. Community Center and we already have 450 people registered.
We have the day divided up by school but parents can come get a coat when it’s most convenient for them. We hope this simplifies the registration process. We work with parents and schools to make sure every kids who needs a coat gets a coat.
Each year it typically costs about $6,000 to purchase coats, hats, & mittens for this event. Due to the increase in students to serve, we have already surpassed that amount. Preparing kids to go back to school certainly cost parents more this year. This event helps take away the stress of their kids being warm walking to school, going out for recess, or joining friends at the sledding hill.
