ACE Academy Scholarship

Building Futures Through Hands-On Learning

“The scholarship is really about the students; who they are, what motivates them, and their dreams. It’s about helping them find themselves,” notes Capstone Construction Program Coordinator and ACE Fundraiser Aaron Scheuer.

For more than seven years, the Architecture, Construction, Engineering (ACE) Academy scholarship has been a meaningful part of empowering local high school graduates through quality tool starter kits. Hand tools are awarded to graduates of Marshfield High School Capstone Construction, students who have learned to use similar tools throughout their high school experience. Capstone Construction takes students from classroom construction to real-world builds and repairs in the community. Students gain skills while contributing to local city improvements, like storage sheds and refurbishing zoo facilities.

The focus of this scholarship is not just on academic achievement, but also on personal growth and vision. Students answer thoughtful questions about where they see themselves after graduation, exploring how their skills and passions can shape their paths. It challenges them to think beyond the classroom, considering their goals two, five, and ten years into the future.

The Marshfield Area Community Foundation is proud to steward this fund, which continues to enable students to reach their goals, whether pursuing these skills in the workforce or simply being a reliable handyperson for themselves and neighbors.

By supporting programs like the ACE Academy scholarship, the Foundation advances education beyond the classroom, strengthening community, building resilience, and creating brighter futures for Marshfield’s youth.
