Eligibility Requirements
Eligible applicants for Marshfield Area Community Foundation community grants include nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations or other IRS-approved entities such as government agencies, school districts, and churches that serve the Marshfield area. Proposed projects should focus on community priorities—such as education, arts and culture, recreation, environmental protection, healthcare, and social services—within the Foundation’s designated service area, which includes several local communities in and around Marshfield. The Foundation does not discriminate in grant making practices and requires applicants to use grant funds exclusively for charitable purposes. Click here to view our eligibility printout.
The Foundation facilitates two grant cycles each year. All grant applications undergo a structured, committee-led review process to ensure transparency, alignment with donor intent, and effective use of resources. See our Sample Grant Application here.
Community Grant Funding
This annual funding is made possible through a combination of permanently endowed funds—including the Senior Fund, Community Grants Fund, Children’s Future Fund, Palm Sunday Choral Fund, Cole Family Music Fund, Marshfield History Project Fund, Tauschek Fund, and Women’s Giving Circle Fund—as well as a discretionary allocation from the board-managed Forever Fund. Additionally, donor-advised contributions may supplement awards, allowing donors to respond to emerging local needs identified through the grant application process. This blended funding model ensures both sustainability and responsiveness in meeting diverse community priorities.
